Marlaina has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2015, following graduation from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon. She has enjoyed three years of practice in Fernie. Marlaina has spent nearly a decade working as a tree planter, and is passionate about snowboarding, ski touring, mountain biking and hiking. Pursuing these activities has been an integral part of her experience in the importance of taking care of oneself through injury prevention and treatment. She thoroughly enjoys helping clients be able to continue to enjoy both their daily and favourite activities.
Marlaina is enthusiastic about assisting clients to maintain and restore their functional abilities through modalities including myofascial release, swedish massage, trigger point release, joint mobilization, and craniosacral therapy. Her treatment approach focuses on supporting the body’s innate healing process. The effectiveness of this approach to treatment became exceedingly apparent during her continuing education studies in biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Her treatments focus on supporting the optimal functioning of the nervous system to enable you to feel more at home within your body. Health is always present in the body, regardless of the condition.
