Anika is a BC Registered Massage Therapist who graduated with honours as valedictorian in 2025 from Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences. Raised in Fernie, she is grateful to return to her roots and contribute to the well-being, performance, and long-term health of the Elk Valley community. Her path into massage therapy grew from a deep interest in human anatomy and an appreciation for how skilled manual therapy can meaningfully improve movement, comfort, sleep, and overall quality of life.Throughout her education,
Anika developed strong skills in orthopedic assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-informed treatment planning. She has a growing passion for women’s health and the ways manual therapy can support hormonal transitions, chronic stress, and changes in sleep and mobility across the lifespan. Her applied research case study focused on addressing menopausal insomnia and its impact on overall wellness, an experience that reinforced her commitment to supporting women through complex and often under-recognized health challenges.Anika’s treatment style combines therapeutic precision with a calm, patient-centered approach. She integrates a wide range of techniques, including Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, muscle energy techniques, and targeted mobility work.
Her goal is to work collaboratively with the body’s innate capacity for adaptation, reducing pain, restoring fluid movement, and supporting patients in returning to the activities and routines that bring them joy.Growing up in Fernie inspired Anika’s love for the outdoors, and she continues to enjoy skiing, hiking, and exploring local trails. These experiences help her stay grounded in the importance of recovery, prevention, and maintaining healthy movement patterns, principles that guide her approach to clinical practice.Anika believes that effective treatment is a partnership. She provides clear education, practical home care strategies, and individualized support to help patients feel empowered in their healing. Whether addressing stress, persistent tension, hormonal transitions, or musculoskeletal injuries, she is dedicated to creating thoughtful, evidence-informed treatment plans tailored to each person’s goals.
