Laurie is a BC registered acupuncturist. She graduated in 2013 from Pacific Rim college in Victoria, BC and has been living here in Fernie now for 3 years. Laurie enjoys snowboarding, biking, comping, flyfhishing and all things outdoors. She has always been involved in sports and while working through several injuries she happened upon acupuncture as an effective method of recovery. and has never looked back.
Chinese medicine treats the body as a whole which resonated with Laurie who from a young age was fascinated about food therapy and the relationship food has with the mind and body. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) diagnosis is based on recognizing patterns within the body and mind and treating based on those patterns. Laurie will use a variety of techniques such as acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxa and diet therapy. Laurie’s passion lies in food therapy and sport related injuries but she enjoys all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Chinese Medicine and acupuncture can treat a wide range of health issues such as addictions, stress, insomnia, headaches, digestion, asthma, colds, TMJ, tendonitis, infertility, glaucoma, and so forth. Laurie looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your wellness goals.
