Jorin graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, Victoria campus, in 2013 and has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist for five years. She has been able to take her practice between clinics and spas alike, in small mountain towns and has been happily established in Fernie for the last three years.
Upon graduating as an RMT, Jorin travelled to Bali, Indonesia, to study and graduate as a 200 hour certified Hatha and vinyasa yoga teacher. Yoga and meditation has been an integral part of her life, she has been practicing yoga for 10 years and uses many postural alignment cues, breath work and poses; to educate clients on specific-to-them exercises to use at home for daily maintenance.
Over the last five years, Jorin has continued to diversify her skillset to better understand the body, mind and spirit, using many different modalities to ultimately create a rejuvenating treatment to restore balance to the psychosomatic system. Her treatments are based in traditional Swedish massage, tailoring a unique treatment to each client, which may also include: myofascial release, muscle energy technique, passive stretching, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage and craniosacral therapy. She is dedicated to curating a treatment and home care plan to assist clients in optimizing their health and well being, so they can continue to do the activities they enjoy with the people they love!
When she’s not in the office, she can be found in the mountains or on the river with her dog, Sage. Jorin delights in summer days spent fly fishing, rock climbing, hiking, cycling and playing soccer. Her winters consist of splitboarding, snowboarding and searching for the best hot springs to soak in.
“Balance isn’t something you find, it’s something you create”. Take the time to give yourself the gift of healing and benefit from the effects of restoring balance in all aspects of your life.
